If you're lucky enough to have loved and been heartbroken enough times to include yourself in the elite club of hopeless romantics then you have even more to be grateful for.

I think you're right rachel, this holiday is a great one! It's easy to see the over commercialization of it and every other holiday we celebrate, but if thats your only excuse for not celebrating valentines day, then you really are missing the point and all the joy of it! (It's called selfishness if i'm not mistaken). So, go do something nice for someone else, i say. Sweetheart or not. You'll feel better as will they, i guarantee it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7859815712054242428.post-65813911657777737072012-02-10T09:28:30.878-08:002012-02-10T09:28:30.878-08:00My fourth wedding anniversary is on valentine’s da...My fourth wedding anniversary is on valentine’s days. But I must say the date was my husband’s choosing and not my own. The year we got married Valentine’s day was on a Thursday! Lol who gets married on a Thursday??? Never the less, the day was my husband’s choice, as he is more of a romantic then me.Maybe men are just bitter or hopeless due to past relationship fallout who knows.
What I do know is that I have one special man. Nothing matters more than true meaning and when the giving of gifts or dinner or vacations becomes about the price or the routine it misses the point entirely. Regardless of what we are "supposed to do" or what it costs if we forget that gifts are a representation of our feelings than we have lost the point. Gifts should be material reminders of our inmaterial and inexpressable feelings, and only when gifts inspire us and talk to us then they are a gift worth giving.Trevornoreply@blogger.com
